By: Eating a steak at a wedding reception doesn’t sound like something that would wind up going viral on the internet, but when a guest at Cody & Kelly Campbell’s wedding reception had a piece go down the wrong way, it was Cody who jumped into action to save a guest from choking.
During the toasts, which presumably came toward the end of dinner, one of the guests even made a statement that would foreshadow future events.
“If I’m ever in a position where I need a fireman to help me,” said the well wisher. “I hope it’s you, or someone like you.”
Late-dinner toasts are starting to become more common as couples want more time to dance, so they consolidate the speeches/toasts into a time when people would just be sitting and eating.
Cody is a firefighter and his training allowed this situation to have a happy ending for a wonderful couple.
